Wool Tweed Harrington Jacket
We took the same silhouette from our core Harrington and fitted it out with a special fabric straight from the Home of Tweed. Lovat Mill weaves the world’s finest wool fabrics alongside the banks of the River Teviot in the Scottish Borders. Tweed emerged from this region hundreds of years ago and has been prized ever since as the ultimate performance sportswear.
This example is a rather lightweight tweed that will suit most climates across three seasons. We find the pattern to be especially splendid - a puppy tooth base in dark brown and midnight blue, with an overlapping puppy tooth check in heather. It offers the ultimate in camouflage on the golf course and eye-catching at the bar.
The Harrington Jacket emerged from the London golf scene in the 1920s - offering performance on the course with a put-together look that translated well into town. We think this equation still adds up; it is The Honourable way. Our Harrington Jacket is cut with a Raglan sleeve to offer extreme mobility and comfort in the arms and shoulders. The front of the jacket has hunting inspired shell pockets (with secret hidden side pockets behind), as well as a scorecard pocket on the back.
